Who Solutionreach is best for
Solutionreach started in 2000 as Communitect, became Smile Reminder when it moved into dental practices, and was renamed Solutionreach around 2011 as it expanded into eye care and medical specialties. It now serves individual practices and multi-location groups such as DSOs. The company says it has worked with more than 50,000 practices.
Best for
- Dental and orthodontic practices that want automated reminders and recall tied to Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental or similar systems
- Optometry and eye care practices using Eyefinity, OfficeMate or other supported PM systems
- Medical practices that want texting, online scheduling and digital intake in one vendor
- Groups with six or more locations that need central management (Enterprise plan)
Not ideal for
- Practices that want published pricing or month-to-month terms
- Practices whose PM/EHR is not on Solutionreach's integration list
- Organizations looking for a full EHR or billing system
Solutionreach pros and cons
Pros
- Long track record in reminders and recall, with two-way PM sync
- Integration list covers more than 400 PM/EHR connections, according to the vendor
- Broad feature set: texting, online scheduling, check-in, digital intake, surveys, review invitations and payments
- Newer tools include an AI receptionist, a phone system and dental insurance eligibility checks
- Implementation in under a week for many practices, the vendor says, depending on the PM system
Cons
- No public prices; every plan requires a quote
- Yearly contract options; buyers should check renewal and cancellation terms
- Monthly SMS allowances differ by plan, so high-volume practices may need a higher tier
- Some features, such as insurance eligibility, are dental-only
Solutionreach pricing
Solutionreach does not publish prices. Its pricing page lists four plans: Patient Connect, Practice Efficiency, Practice Growth and Enterprise (for six or more locations). The page shows monthly SMS allowances of 1,750, 3,500 and 4,500 messages for the first three tiers and a tailored allowance for Enterprise. Newsletters, surveys and secure documents come in Basic and Pro levels. Solutionreach says it offers yearly contract options. Price typically depends on plan, number of locations and add-ons.

HIPAA, security and integrations
Solutionreach describes its communications as HIPAA-compliant and states on its HIPAA page that it acts as a business associate to its customers, using administrative, physical and technical safeguards required by HIPAA. It says stored data is encrypted and monitored. It does not publish SOC 2 or HITRUST certification or hosting details, so ask for these and a signed BAA during procurement.
Integration is the core of the product. Solutionreach's SyncAssure engine provides two-way sync with the PM/EHR, including write-backs for schedules, reminders, payments, intake and insurance. Named integrations include Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve Dental, Eyefinity, OfficeMate, Epic, NextGen, athenahealth, AdvancedMD, Tebra, drchrono and ModMed, plus HL7 and CSV options.
