Who Experity is best for
Experity makes software for urgent care, formed in 2019 when two urgent care software companies combined; the DocuTAP EMR/PM is still among its products. Based in Machesney Park, Illinois, it sells an urgent care EMR and practice management system, revenue cycle management, teleradiology, business intelligence and patient engagement. The patient engagement tools, built on the Clockwise and Calibrater product lines and the newer Care Agent, cover the visit from search and booking to follow-up, and Experity says they work standalone or within its full platform.
Best for
- Urgent care and walk-in clinic groups balancing booked and walk-in patients
- Clinics already using Experity EMR/PM that want one vendor for patient flow
- Multi-site operators who want centralized booking and follow-up across locations
Not ideal for
- Primary care, specialty or behavioral health practices with scheduled-visit workflows
- Practices wanting published, self-serve pricing
- Clinics on another EMR that need a confirmed, deep integration (verify before buying)
Experity pros and cons
Pros
- Purpose-built for urgent care, including mixed walk-in and booked demand
- Online booking with real-time availability and pre-arrival registration
- Post-visit satisfaction surveys and review management with competitor comparison
- Care Agent texts discharge instructions and lab results with no app or login; digital discharge is free for Experity EMR clients
- One vendor can also supply EMR/PM, RCM, teleradiology and analytics
Cons
- No published prices for any product
- Built for urgent care, so it is a poor fit for most scheduled-care practices
- Care Agent bill collection and smart rebooking are listed as coming soon
- Security and HIPAA documentation are not published on its public site
Experity pricing
Experity does not publish pricing as of October 2026; its packages page describes what each tier includes and routes buyers to a Get Started form. The EMR/PM is sold in three tiers. Foundation covers core EMR/PM, billing workflows, real-time insurance verification, e-prescribing, lab integrations and reporting. Plus adds advanced analytics and business intelligence, telemedicine integration, denials management, advanced scheduling and premium support. Pro adds a patient portal, SMS balance reminders, occupational medicine workflows, managed care contract management, Carequality interoperability and more configuration. Patient engagement can be bought alongside the EMR or standalone; price typically depends on the number of locations, visit volume and modules.
Key features
- Online scheduling: booking from any device with real-time availability, alongside walk-in workflows
- Digital registration: intake forms and registration completed before arrival
- Reminders and messaging: automated reminders, pre-visit communication and secure patient messaging
- Care Agent: an AI text assistant integrated with Experity EMR that sends digital discharge instructions and lab results, with bill collection and text-based rescheduling on the roadmap
- Surveys and reputation: automated post-visit surveys and review management with competitor comparison
- Multi-location management: centralized booking and follow-up with enterprise reporting
HIPAA, security and integrations
Experity's public site does not publish a HIPAA statement, BAA terms, SOC 2 or HITRUST status for its patient engagement products; ask for its BAA and security documentation during evaluation. Its EMR displays ONC Certified Health IT status with a Drummond logo, and the Pro package includes Carequality interoperability. Patient engagement is native to Experity EMR/PM, and Experity says it also works standalone, but it does not list third-party EMR integrations for engagement on its site.
