Who Weave is best for
Weave is a patient communication and payments platform built for healthcare practices. It is widely used in dental and optometry offices and also has medical and veterinary versions. Weave is a public company (NYSE: WEAV) based in Lehi, Utah, and said in May 2026 that it serves more than 40,000 customer locations. Its value comes from replacing separate phone, texting, reminder, forms and payment vendors with one system tied to the practice management software.
Best for
- Dental and optometry practices, which get the most specialty-specific features
- Small and multi-location medical offices with busy front desks and phone volume
- Practices that want missed-call texting, reminders and reviews automated
- Offices that want an AI receptionist for after-hours or overflow calls
Not ideal for
- Practices that only need appointment reminders and do not want to change phone systems
- Organizations that need telehealth video or clinical documentation
- Buyers who want fully published pricing before talking to sales

- Medical practices get fewer specialty-specific features than dental offices
Weave pricing
Weave's pricing page says plans start at $199 a month. It lists three plans:
- Pro: 1,500 bulk texts a month
- Elite (most popular): 3,000 bulk texts a month
- Ultimate: 15,000 bulk texts a month, up to 15 VoIP phones and 1:1 personalized training
Each plan shows "Get Pricing" rather than a price. Customer support and onboarding are included with every plan. Setup fees, phone hardware costs and contract length are not published, so ask sales for a written quote.

HIPAA, security and integrations
Weave publishes a Business Associate Addendum in which Weave Communications, Inc. agrees to limit use and disclosure of PHI and report security incidents; it supplements the Terms of Service. Weave's security page says the platform is designed with features to support HIPAA compliance, is hosted on Google Cloud Platform, uses TLS 1.2+ in transit and AES encryption at rest (128-bit or stronger, per the vendor) with keys managed through Google's Key Management Service, and is penetration-tested by third parties. The security page describes Google Cloud's SOC 2 and ISO 27001 assessments but does not state a Weave-specific SOC 2 report.
Weave integrates with practice management and EHR systems through its integrations list; confirm your system is supported before buying.
