Who Ventra Health is best for
Ventra Health was formed by combining revenue cycle companies Abeo, DuvaSawko and Gottlieb, later added Advocate RCM (integration completed January 2025) and India-based ArcMed (2023), and is backed by private equity firm Varsity Healthcare Partners. David Sides became CEO in May 2026. It is a services company: its staff do coding, claim submission, follow-up, payment posting, patient balance collection and payer contracting for clients, supported by its own analytics and automation platforms. Ventra says it serves more than 30,000 providers across 3,600 locations in all 50 states, and 434 clients as of March 2026.
Best for
- Anesthesia, emergency medicine, hospitalist, radiology and pathology groups
- Facility-based groups that want help with payer contracting and reimbursement strategy
- Groups replacing an underperforming billing vendor or an in-house team that cannot keep up
- Ambulatory surgery centers and hospital-affiliated groups that want specialty coding expertise
Not ideal for
- Office-based primary care, behavioral health or therapy practices
- Practices that want billing software to run themselves
- Very small practices looking for a low, published percentage-of-collections rate
Ventra Health pros and cons
Pros
- Deep specialization in facility-based specialties, with coding teams for anesthesia, emergency medicine, hospital medicine and radiology
- Full outsourced service, from coding through patient collections, plus provider enrollment and coding education
- Payer strategy and contracting help, which many billing companies do not offer
- HITRUST r2 certified (announced February 2026) and PCI DSS compliant, according to Ventra
- vSight analytics and a client success team give regular reporting on agreed performance metrics
Cons
- No published pricing
- Client feedback quoted on Ventra's own site comes from KLAS interviews it selected, and even one of those mentions problems still being fixed, so check independent references
- Narrow specialty focus, so office-based practices get little benefit from its strengths
- It has global service delivery, including India-based ArcMed acquired in 2023, which some practices want to ask about
- It is a service, not software you control; switching vendors later means a transition period for claims in progress
Ventra Health pricing
As of 2026, Ventra Health does not publish pricing. Outsourced revenue cycle services like Ventra's are usually priced as a percentage of net collections, sometimes with fees for implementation, provider enrollment or extra services. Rates depend on specialty, claim volume, payer mix and how much of the revenue cycle you outsource. Ask for the percentage, what counts as a collection, minimum fees, the contract term, termination terms and who owns the data at the end of the contract.
Key features

- Provider enrollment and education: credentialing, coding audits and clinical documentation improvement

- vSight: data and analytics platform used for client reporting
- Performance surveillance: a team that monitors client metrics for problems

HIPAA, security and integrations
Ventra announced HITRUST r2 certification in February 2026 and shows a PCI DSS compliant badge on its site. It says client data is encrypted in transit and at rest with AES-256, environments are monitored around the clock, and it keeps multiple disaster-recovery hot sites. Its compliance team monitors adherence to HIPAA, Stark, the Anti-Kickback Statute and the False Claims Act. Ventra does not publish BAA terms, hosting details or a list of supported EHRs; as a service provider its staff typically work from data your EHR or hospital systems send, so confirm interface method and costs during scoping.
