Who Heidi Health is best for
Heidi, built by Melbourne-based Heidi Health, listens to the visit and writes the note. In September 2026 it announced US$340 million in new funding and said it has supported more than 175 million patient visits.
Best for
- Solo clinicians and small practices that want to try an AI scribe free before paying
- Health systems on Epic or Oracle Cerner that want structured write-back
Not ideal for
- Practices that want EHR write-back without moving to an organization-level plan
- Buyers who need published per-seat pricing before a sales call
- Clinicians who need telehealth audio captured on a phone (the mobile app cannot capture phone or telehealth calls)
Heidi Health pros and cons
Pros
- Free plan with one seat for individual clinicians
- Web, macOS and Windows desktop, iOS and Android apps, with offline capture on mobile
- Documents beyond the note: referral letters, patient recaps sent after approval, pre-visit prep and form filling
- Evidence feature answers clinical questions with citations from sources such as Cochrane, BMJ and NEJM
- Approved on Epic Showroom, with direct integration to Oracle Cerner
- Publishes HIPAA, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 compliance and offers a BAA
Cons
- Teams pricing is custom, and the Max tier is a significant step up from Clinician
- Free plan runs on a weekly usage allowance, and agent tools have limited usage on every plan
- EHR integration is listed only on the Teams plan

HIPAA, security and integrations
Heidi states it is HIPAA compliant, SOC 2 Type II attested, ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 certified, GDPR compliant and TX-RAMP certified. Its HIPAA page says Heidi acts as a business associate, makes a BAA available to every covered entity it works with, and hosts US data within the United States.
For EHRs, Heidi's Epic integration launches from Hyperspace or Haiku via SMART on FHIR and writes drafts back to the chart; it is approved on Epic Showroom. Heidi also lists direct integration with Oracle Cerner, plus athenahealth, Veradigm and eClinicalWorks (via Vim).
