Who Ensora eRx is best for
Ensora eRx is the e-prescribing product long known as NewCrop. Its parent company, Therapy Brands, introduced the Ensora Health brand in April 2025, and the product is now sold as Ensora eRx (formerly NewCrop); the old newcroprx.com address now redirects to Ensora's eRx page. Most prescribers use it inside another system: as an add-on to Ensora's TheraNest EHR, or embedded in third-party EHRs such as blueBriX.
Best for
- Psychiatric prescribers and PMHNPs using TheraNest who want prescribing inside the chart
- EHR vendors that want to embed a Surescripts-certified prescribing module
- Practices that prescribe controlled substances and need EPCS with PDMP lookups
- Prescribers who want price comparison and ePA in the prescribing workflow
Not ideal for
- Independent prescribers who want a stand-alone e-prescribing app with self-serve signup
- Practices on an EHR that already includes another eRx engine

Ensora eRx pricing
For TheraNest customers, Ensora's pricing page lists Ensora eRx + PDMP as an add-on at $45 per month per therapist (prescriber) with a $135 one-time setup fee per practice, available on all TheraNest plans (Essentials $29, Advanced $59 and Premier $89 per therapist per month, as of October 2026). TheraNest offers a 21-day free trial.
When Ensora eRx is embedded in another vendor's EHR, the price is set by that EHR vendor and is not published by Ensora. Ask whether eRx, EPCS and PDMP access are included or billed separately.

HIPAA, security and integrations
Ensora describes TheraNest as HIPAA-compliant with multi-factor authentication and says TheraNest holds HITRUST e1 certification. Its company overview says formal agreements such as BAAs are provided "where applicable," and that ONC certification materials are published on its site. It publishes no attestation specific to the eRx module. A partner testimonial on the eRx page describes it as Surescripts-certified and EPCS compliant.
It runs inside TheraNest and third-party EHRs that license it, connecting to pharmacies via Surescripts and to state PDMPs.
