HIPAA, security and integrations
Ambience's privacy policy says customer data processing may include business associate agreements as applicable under customer contracts, that it acts as a data processor for customer end-user data, and that it uses HIPAA safe harbor or expert determination methods when de-identifying data. It does not list SOC 2, HITRUST or other certifications on the pages we reviewed.
Ambience integrates most deeply with Epic. In August 2025 it joined Epic's Toolbox program for Ambient Voice Recognition, and clinicians can launch it from Haiku in outpatient, ED and inpatient settings. Its Series C announcement also names Oracle Cerner and athenahealth.
